B.Sc (Nutrition Science) / M. (Nutrition & Dietetics)

Alessandra is a qualified Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) who is passionate about supporting people in fostering positive relationships with food and their bodies.

Alessandra began dancing as soon as she could walk, and continued into full-time dance training at Ev & Bow after completing high school. She adored the combination of artistry and athleticism involved in dance, and was interested in how to properly fuel and nourish to perfom at her best. Her unfortunate experiences of distorted body image and disordered eating behaviours among dancers in the industry was the driving force behind her pursuit in becoming a dietitian. She is passionate about making meaningful changes within the dance industry and fostering positive and supportive environments that promote nourishment and embraces the diversity of dancers.

She is also currently involved in research at the University of Sydney that aims to understand eating behaviours and nutrition knowledge in dancers in order to appropriately support their health, wellbeing, training and performance.

In her free time, Alessandra loves to cuddle with her dog or go to a dance class. She loves to learn and continue to develop her skills and knowledge to best support her clients.
