Dance Nutrition 101 - Eating can enhance your performance, but Not-eating can't

Eating can enhance your performance, but not-eating can't. No matter how much nutrition knowledge you get, you're not making use of it until you start eating plentifully! Take a moment and absorb these important roles of eating:

  1. Eating plentifully will support your ability to dance, physically.
  2. Eating plentifully and healthfully can help prevent some injuries; or in case of an already injured dancer, it can help accelerate the healing process.
  3. Eating intuitively and mindfully can nourish your mind and body.

Would you fly from Sydney to Europe with just half the fuel on the plane? No you don't. Because you won't reach the destination. It's the same with eating. Dancing is quite a lot of work for the body and for it to do its best, it needs fuel. So don't hesitate to schedule in your meal and snack times. In fact, that's a great starting point to prioritise your body's needs. You can read more about those three roles hereDN101 - Eating can enhance your performance, but not-eating can't Fumi x
